The increasing requirement for precise surface treatment techniques in multiple industries paint has spurred extensive investigation into laser ablation. This analysis explicitly compares the efficiency of pulsed laser ablation for the removal of both paint coatings and rust scale from ferrous substrates. We determined that while both materials are
